but, really, what&#8217;s better than BACON?\u00a0\u00a0It&#8217;s considered the gateway meat for vegetarians&#8230; I know!\u00a0 I was a vegetarian for 4 years&#8230; just not a very good one.\u00a0 On to the bacon ~ the mess!\u00a0 Oh my, any cook that also battles cleanup will a) use fewer dishes and b) find ways to splatter less.\u00a0\u00a0This process keeps your cooktop completely grease-free.<\/p>\n<p>Turn your oven to 400 degrees.\u00a0 Lay the bacon onto a large roasting pan in a single layer<\/p>\n<p>(I line mine with foil for easy cleanup).\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-2-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-210\" alt=\"photo 2 (6)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-2-6-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-2-6-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-2-6.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Place into oven and give it about 15 minutes.\u00a0 Some of the edge pieces will cook faster so be ready to pull individual slices.\u00a0 Tongs work perfectly for this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-3-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-211\" alt=\"photo 3 (3)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-3-3-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-3-3-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/photo-3-3.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 Cook til done.\u00a0 It can go from not quite done to overdone in moments &#8211;
