sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What you\u00a0have here\u00a0is a\u00a0protein-packed powerhouse of nutrition using a ton of kale, farm-fresh eggs, ham and cheddar cheese.\u00a0\u00a0 A fritatta is an Italian\u00a0baked omelet.\u00a0 It is easy and delicious.\u00a0\u00a0Let&#8217;s make one!!<\/p>\n<p>Start by packing\u00a0 your blender full of kale greens,<\/p>\n<p>about 8 oz.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/kale.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-153\" alt=\"kale\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/kale-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/kale-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/kale.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will need to add liquid (water or milk) to liquify the kale. \u00a0Start with\u00a01\/4\u00a0cup\u00a0of liquid and add more as needed.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-143\" alt=\"frit2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit2-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, add in the eggs.\u00a0 For this big ole fritatta, you need a full dozen farm fresh eggs.\u00a0 Look at the color of those yokes!\u00a0 You don&#8217;t find that at the grocery store!!\u00a0\u00a0 Add the eggs to your blender along with 1 tsp. salt and 1\/2 tps. black pepper and pulse a few times to\u00a0incorporate.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, finely chop 1.5 cup of ham and a red onion.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-145\" alt=\"frit4\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit4-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit4-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit4.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Cook this over medium heat in a large non-stick skillet with a tsp. of butter to brown the ham and soften the onions.\u00a0 This will take about\u00a07 minutes.\u00a0 Now would be a good time to pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.\u00a0 Once the meat is browned to your liking turn the heat to low, add the green eggs to the pan.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-146\" alt=\"frit5\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit5-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit5-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit5.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the eggs begin to set, gently stir and let the\u00a0all the ingredients become friends.\u00a0 Because you have added more liquid\u00a0(from the kale and water\/milk) it will be a little looser than\u00a0&#8220;just eggs&#8221; so let it go til\u00a0you think it&#8217;s about\u00a0half-way\u00a0set.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-147\" alt=\"frit6\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit6-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit6-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit6.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Top this with 1 cup (or more, I won&#8217;t tell!) of grated cheddar cheese and slide the whole thing into your preheated oven.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-148\" alt=\"frit7\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit7-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit7-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit7.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bake for 10-15 minutes until the center is mostly set and the cheese is melty.\u00a0 Now, switch your oven to broiler and brown the top.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-149\" alt=\"frit8\" src=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit8-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit8-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.downdogsaltydog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/frit8.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Don&#8217;t let it burn!\u00a0 Just let it take on some broiler action loving!\u00a0\u00a0 Remove from heat and let it sit out for 10 minutes.\u00a0
